Description

MissionAs Lead Energy Market at, your mission is to structure and operate our energy market activity, from regulatory framework to sourcing and settlement. Initially a solo role with full ownership, you will lay the foundations of what will become a fully-fledged energy supply function, working directly with Sakina (co-founder, in charge of Energy).You are the person who will:
  • obtain the regulatory authorizations to fully operate as listed energy supplier in France
  • structure our energy procurement and wholesale market activity
  • build our relationships with grid operators (RTE, Enedis) and market counterparties
  • design and implement the back-office processes for metering, billing and settlement
  • define the energy market strategy that supports differentiated positioning
Key responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory and licensing:
    • Obtain and maintain the authorizations to become fully listed energy supplier
    • Monitor and anticipate French regulatory changes (VNU, capacity mechanism, demand response, etc.)
    • Represent with French regulatory bodies (CRE, DGEC) and industry associations
  2. Wholesale energy procurement:
    • Define and execute the energy sourcing strategy (forward, spot, PPAs)
    • Manage exposure and hedging in line with our risk appetite
    • Build relationships with trading desks and market counterparties
  3. Grid and settlement operations:
    • Structure the operational framework with RTE and Enedis
    • Oversee metering data flows and imbalance management
    • Design billing and settlement processes, with appropriate tooling
  4. Strategic ownership:
    • Contribute to product and pricing decisions that reflect our efficiency-first model
    • Promote value proposition within energy networks & beyond, producing & publishing impactful content accordingly

Exigences

Le candidat
  • 8+ years in energy markets, whether within a supplier, a trading desk, an energy consultancy, or a regulatory body
  • Deep understanding of electricity market mechanics, wholesale, grid, balancing, settlement, in the French (and ideally European) context
  • Comfortable operating without a playbook; energized by ambiguity and able to take ownership end-to-end
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory and operational topics while keeping a clear strategic line
  • Able to work closely with tech, product and sales teams to translate market constraints into business decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication in both French and English in a professional context
  • Passionate about driving sustainability in the real estate sector
